About

Since 2015 I have been working at different water related companies within centralized and decentralized systems. On centralized drinking water production, I worked at Sydvatten AB as Senior Scientist and afterwards at Sweden Water Research AB as Research Group Leader developing research projects within the broad area of materials science in relation with water. In 2019 I co-founded Arcadia AB and become the CEO. The company focus on consulting services for the water business and research organizations as well as project development services and procurement. More recently I incorporate partial time into Vatteninfo Sverige AB as a Research Manager with focus in developing the R&D portfolio for water decentralized systems. The rest of my working time I joined as a Project Leader at Vattencentrum, a water division of Campus Roslagen AB, with focus mostly in developing projects for Horizon Europe within main areas of activity at the division. I believe in maintaining a positive mindset, creating partnerships with a purpose, and always striving for significant outcomes. When you work with me, you should expect a collaboration with transparency, consistency, and reliability.

Materials Science and Water

The design and development of new materials for drinking water production, conveyance and wastewater treatment, rely on the use of precise characterization techniques (TEM, AFM, X-ray and neutron scattering and spectroscopy, etc). Filtration materials, UV and advanced oxidation processes for disinfection and digitalization (IoT, AI) applied to water decentralized systems. Those are the basis for a large part of my work. Monitoring and Security

Classical monitoring techniques and more advanced IoT based monitoring are needed to ensure safe drinking water for all. Together with monitoring goes the security issues associated to IoT in sensitive infrastructure. My cooperators are my number one priority, and my services prove just how committed I am to their success. Book an introductory meeting today to learn more about how I can make your business thrive.

Water dynamics on bisphenol-covered silica as model for water purification filters

2018-2019

The project focus in investigating the impact of BPA on the effective filtering of the water through sand. To examine more closely the chemical interactions between BPA, sand, and water, we are using two materials as model for sand and sediments.

The influence of hydrodynamic processes on the brownification of rivers and lakes

2018-2022

This project investigates how brown water is distributed in rivers and lakes and how its dynamics are influenced by the hydrodynamics of this water bodies. Moreover, it aims to provide information of brownification sources.

The lake Bolmen in Sweden, which is one of the main sources for drinking water in southern Sweden has been chosen for this study. The main purpose of this project is to deepen this knowledge and give a holistic perspective on the ongoing processes from the engineering perspective.

Materials in contact with water

2017-

This project focus in the investigation on materials in contact with water that are of paramount relevance for the water business (filtration materials like membranes or sand filters, pipe materials metallic and polymer based, materials for advanced oxidation processes, microplastics and a wide variety of pollutants of emerging concern among others). The project is developed in cooperation several universities in Skåne, ESS (European Spallation Source) and MaxIV (Swedish synchrotron facility) in Lund and get the additional goal to strength the research on materials science for the water industry using neutrons and synchrotron radiation in the region of Skåne that will become a strong materials innovation hub.

Materials Evolution

2018-

This project focus on the development of new meta-materials with properties that outperform conventional materials used on the water business. The project is developed mainly in cooperation with universities in Skåne and focus on developing functionality that is currently not avaliable on conventional materials like membranes, pipes, filters, among others.

WssTP Water Innovation Europe 2018

June 13th-14th, 2018

I participate as a representative of Sweden Water Research AB at the WssTP Water Innovation Europe 2018 and the annual meeting of the WssTP organization. The meeting was hold at the Blue Point conference center in Brussels.

With over 200 participants from all around Europe in every edition, WssTP annual conference ‘Water Innovation Europe’ has grown to become the landmark event of the European water sector every summer. The event brings together all the aspects of the sector: scientists and technology developers, utility representatives, large water users, European and national/ regional policy makers and finance experts. Water Innovation Europe offers an open platform for information gathering and networking among the most influential stakeholders from within and beyond the water sector.
